FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA - APRIL 19: 15:50:50 you mentioned words can you tell the jury how you write? when i was 12 years old my elder brother danny walked into my room and ripped the peter frampton record off my record player and threw it across my room and said you gotta stop listenign to this stuff and put another record on it started and it was van morrison and he turned me onto van morrison, clockwork organge, last tango, films and books by ginsburg phillips k dick hemmingway i became interested in vocabulary and the unique voices of these writers um and then i started reading people like tom robbins and hunter thompson and becoming close friends with hunter thompson for the last 10-12 years of his life and hunter's writing of course because of the amount of time i spent with him has influenced my writing greatly he was known for inventing a thing called gonzo journalism it's the author putting hinself in the situation as opposed to writing it from the author's POV he writes with him in it there are great embellishments and great sort of ways he would twist things and express his feelings and he became a huge hero of course to me and great friend —END HERE (Footage by Law&Crime via Getty Images)
