A woman captured a dramatic water rescue being carried out near San Angelo, Texas, amid heavy flooding in the area on July 4. Footage filmed by Rhonda Podschelne shows a woman lying horizontally in a stream of water, surrounded by strong currents and struggling to keep her head above water, as people try to rescue her with ropes. "I'm about to lose her!" one of the rescuers yells out on the video. Podschelne described the scene as a "swift water rescue" carried out by volunteers from fire departments, Department of Public Safety officials, local residents, and farmers. When the video was posted online by a local journalist, one man in the comments https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLsoa4KRVlf/ said that he and others managed to safely rescue the woman, and that she was transported to the hospital.
