IV with Alan Dane, Headmaster of Harris Academy Bermondsey, in which he talks about the benefits of the mentoring scheme which the school runs and how the students reacted to David Cameron's earlier visit. On Monday the Prime Minister visited pupils at the Harris Academy Bermondsey, an All Girls free school set up in 2006, following the government's announcement of a £14million mentoring scheme to help struggling young people prepare for a life in work. Previously a failing school, the Academy is now rated outstanding by Ofsted, and has attracted business leaders from some of the country's leading companies to mentor pupils. Mentors from the Deutsche Bank, PWC and the Financial Times visit the school once a week, giving 300 students the chance to regularly learn from some of the country's top business minds.
