Astronauts Lovell Borman and Anders return from Apollo 8 mission
Wide Shot off sticks of the USS Yorktown, which hosted Astronauts Jim Lovell, William Anders, and Frank Borman after they splashed down from their Apollo 8 mission. Sounds from the aircraft carriers PA system are audible. Cut to a medium-close shot of the open door of the aircraft that brought the astronauts to the Yorktown. The three astronauts emerge from the doorway wearing white jumpsuits that bear the Apollo 8 insignia. Borman comes out first, followed by Lovell and then Anders. Cut to panning shot of sailors aboard the Yorktown who watch as the astronauts emerge. Some are taking pictures while others just watch intently. Cut to a medium tracking shot of the three astronauts, accompanied by naval officers, as they walk the deck of the Yorktown.
