A Western Australian golfer faced an extra challenge on December 6, when some kangaroos joined him on the green and stood near the hole. Video recorded by head engineer Merv Farrell, of the Vines Resort outside Perth, shows one kangaroo with its snout by the cup as a putt is made. The player is evidently unfazed, with his shot getting to within inches of the hole before the roo hops off. The resort's marketing manager told Storyful that the location was well known for the number of roos present on the grounds. "They come right up to golfers and normally just laze around on the course," she said. "Some golfers need to move them off the tee box to tee off!" She added that the roos could be seen under the trees on warmer days, but that they would "jump wildly down the fairways" when the weather was cooler.
