Congressman Mooney Criticizes Athletes Kneeling During National Anthem
West Virginia Congressman Alex Mooney says his mother and millions of immigrant leave the flags of other nations to come to America where if they don’t like it they can go because Americans love the flag. Mooney says a few players wrongly decided to turn a national football league game into a political statement, losing in that moment national unity. Mooney says NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, some owners, coaches and players showed a lack of respect to the nation and military in kneeling during the national anthem at games, asking how just Alejandro Villanueva from the Pittsburgh Steelers respected the country in the tunnel but was sadly attacked in the media, Mooney calling on all NFL athletes to stand together and do the same.
