Wernher Von Braun visits Johnston Island for Nuclear Test
Wernher Von Braun, inventor of the V-1 and V-2 missiles for the Nazi's, visits Johnston Island in the Pacifc to supervise the nuclear weapons tests carried aloft by his Redstone Missile. The shots, Teak and Orange, were 3.8 MT (Megaton) tests. Teak detonated nearly 50 miles above the earth. Von Braun is wearing stylish sunglasses and a colorful Hawaiian shirt
