Gene Wilder on Being Free to Try Different Things Onset With Mel Brooks

Gene Wilder: Well working with Mel Brooks, and Madeline, and Dom DeLuise, and Cloris Leachman, and Teri Garr, Kenny Mars, Peter Boyle, it was a family so there was never tension there. We had freedom to do lots of stuff, we didn’t improvise so much, hardly at all. It wasn’t that kind of freedom, it was the freedom to try things in a different way. That was wonderful.
