Roger Corman: I was most active as a director in the 60’s and then went onto the 70’s and so fourth. Motion picture theaters in the downtown areas appealed to an older crowd but the suburban theaters and the drive in’s appealed to a younger croud and I felt that the majors with their somewhat aging stars at that time were taking the older audience so I went for the younger audience.
