1967 Volkswagen TV commercial - Good Things in Life - 4K stock video
A chauffeur at a country estate climbs into his black Volkswagen Beetle and drives across town to his modest suburban home. After he parks in his small driveway, he gets out of the car, polishes the top with his coat sleeve, and walks inside his house.
Voiceover: "How does a man get the good things in life? A thrifty little car like the Volkswagen can help. It doesn't cost very much to buy, and it doesn't cost very much to run. It gets about 27 miles to a gallon of gas, about 40,000 miles to a set of tires. And when you get ready to sell it, there are a lot of people who are willing to pay plenty for such a cheap car. That's why this man owns a Volkswagen and probably always will. After all, anything that can help you get so many of the good things in life is one of the good things in life." The music is: Pomp & Circumstance March No 1 in D by Edward Elgar (Cavendish Archive Collection Vol. 2)
