Vintage tennis featuring the United States against France in the 1927 International Lawn Tennis Challenge, the 22nd edition of what is now known as the Davis Cup, at the Germantown cricket club in Philadelphia. The sequence includes the two teams posing for the camera, followed by doubles action, Rene Lacoste (wearing a hat) defeating Bill Tilden in a singles contest, and concluding with Bill Johnston losing to Henri Cochet in the deciding match, as France won the trophy 3-2.
