Seaweed farmers in Hyogo Prefecture attach spores to nets as growing season sets to start
Video footage taken on Sept. 27 in Akaishi, Hyogo Prefecture, shows how ‘nori’ seaweed spores are attached to giant nets spun around turning wheels. The spore-laden nets will then be laid within the sea to let the seaweed grow. (Mari Endo)
