Video footage taken on November 23,2017,Japan, at Honganji Nagoya Betsuin temple in Nagoya shows artists using broom-sized brushes to recreate an immense portrait of the Buddhist monk Daruma said to have been painted by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) on the grounds 200 years ago. The original work that was painted on a sheet of washi paper the size of 120 tatami straw mats was lost in a fire during World War II. Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts and Nagoya City Museum cooperated on the project.
