Paralympic Skiers In Tune-up In Nagano, A Year Before Pyeongchang Games
Video footage taken on March 6, 2017, Japan, during the World Para Alpine Skiing (formerly IPC Alpine Skiing) World Cup event held in Hakuba, Nagano Prefecture, shows Japanese competitors vying in super giant slalom events despite poor snow that made maintaining control difficult. Taiki Morii, 36, skiing in a seated position, won a race in the men’s category, while Momoka Muraoka, 20, also skiing seated, won a race in the women’s in the tune-up for the 2018 Winter Games to be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Japan’s representatives will be in Pyeongchang for the World Cup Finals competition that starts on March 9.
