Shot Glass inspired by Mount Fuji the toast of pottery stronghold of Arita
Video footage taken in the famed pottery town of Arita in Saga Prefecture shows shot glasses designed to evoke Japan’s most famous landmark being spun and painted at Kinshodo, one of the businesses in the area. Appearing like Mount Fuji when placed upside down, the cup when filled also creates the form of the volcano when seen from above. The shot glass design was awarded the grand prix in a 2020 competition of novelty goods from throughout the country.
