Japan’s 2018 World Cup manager takes helm of Thai national soccer team

Video footage taken in Bangkok on Sept. 4 shows Akira Nishino, in charge of the Thai national soccer men’s team since July, assessing his team’s potential on the eve of a qualifier against Vietnam’s national team to take place in the Thai capital. A former player, Nishino led the Japanese national team into the knockout stage of the 2018 World Cup. Despite the limited time he has been given with the team.
