Fukuyama Castle to reopen with interactive digital additions

Video footage taken Aug. 18 in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture, shows 400-year-old Fukuyama Castle after it has undergone a recent reconstruction that has added a variety of digital interactive exhibits to its interior. Shown is a medieval horse-riding simulation and a target shooting game that lets visitors test their prowess with a replica matchlock gun. Built in 1622, the castle suffered fire damage at the end of World War II and was rebuilt in 1966. The castle will reopen on Aug. 28. (Hideshi Nishimoto)
