Finger-Munching 'Satan Turtle' Captured In Mentrida, Spain
Video footage captured in Mentrida, Spain showcases the capture of a ferocious alligator snapping turtle. This formidable reptile, known as the Satan Turtle, had been causing distress among children in a local park lake. Originally believed to be a pet that was abandoned due to its dangerous size, it possesses jaws of extraordinary strength capable of severing human fingers with ease. The discovery of this creature preying on native wildlife in Mentrida, located in the province of Toledo, Spain, left officials astounded. Teens spotted the massive turtle lurking in the undergrowth along the lake's banks.
Experts identified the turtle as belonging to the breed Macrochelys temminckii, which can reach an astonishing weight of 114 kilograms (250 lbs). However, this particular specimen weighed a more modest 25 kilograms (55 lbs). After consuming copious amounts of fish in the lake, the turtle was apprehended by Spain's Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Civil Guard. The captivating video footage depicts how experts strategically enticed the turtle with food, subsequently ambushing it with a net. Demonstrating incredible speed, the turtle extends its neck from its heavily armored shell in a fierce attempt to bite one of the wildlife officers.
