Vermont Senator Peter Welch says at a weekly news conference that folks needed health care whether they voted for Trump or Harris, needed it for kids and older parents, yet they were on the cusp of voting on a bill that made it legal to boot seniors out of nursing homes, to deny disabled kids Medicaid, to take $2 for a meal provided by SNAP off the table, which was so outrageous not because Republican colleagues did not want their constituents to have access to health care but because they were intimidated by Trump, making the discussion about taking away health care, causing insecurity and suffering, totally outrageous.
