Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy says at Senate Judiciary Committee markup to consider reporting Supreme Court nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Senate that he constantly heard the name of Judge Robert Bork coming up but he remembered what was described as confirmation conversion having changed his position dramatically during nomination hearings, a couple Democrats voted for him but enough Republicans did not that had they all, he would have one, wise to use history but the Committee would undertake one of its most consequential duties to consider and vote on whether to advance a nominee to the United States Supreme Court.
