Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders says in floor remarks opposing the mountain valley pipeline permit deal sought by Joe Manchin that the past eight years have been the hottest years in recorded history, the western United States experiencing its worst drought in over 1200 years, California, Nevada and Utah experiencing record breaking heat waves, rainfall and devastating floods over a five week stretch this summer in Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Illinois, Missouri, Death Valley, California and Dallas, Texas supposed to be a once in 1000 year torrential rainfalls coming altogether within a few weeks, Europe experiencing its worst drought in over 500 years which impacts agricultural production, quantity and quality of food.
