Hall: Uh, let’s see. We have the same manager, and I was still working n “The Late Show” and he called me and said, remember that idea I had two years ago?” And I said, “Which one?” Because Eddie has a new idea every day to do something. And he said, “The Quest,” which was the original working title that he had chosen. And I said, “Oh yeah, the prince who comes…” He says, “Yeah, we should do that movie.” I said, “Wow.” I said, “Is it written?” He said, “No, we have to write it, too.” And I’m like, “Wow…” Because I remember the idea and I’m thinking, “Wait a minute, each of us play four different people.” I’m thinking of all these things, I say, “Well…” I thought about it and I said, “Well, I’m finished with ‘The Late Show’ in like five or six more weeks or whatever,” and everything seemed to come together. When it’s right, it’s right. When it’s supposed to be, it’s like a puzzle from heaven. It all comes together. Paramount about that time had come to see me at “The Late Show” because they wanted to – They kind of didn’t know who I was, and it was weird because I was on “Solid Gold” also. I was Marilyn McCoo’s sidekick when she came back to the show. And I was at Paramount, and they – But they didn’t know me as an actor, so they wanted to just come watch me. And they watched me with Little Richard, Magic Johnson when I had them on, and I think the next day my manager went to work and before I knew it I had a holding deal with – or a development deal, a three-picture deal with Paramount, and an okay to do the first film with Eddie. It’s strange, it just all fell together.
