Predators in Proximity: Sharks' Close Encounter With Crocodile Along Western Australia Coast
Two tawny nurse sharks were captured swimming eerily close to a crocodile, in a https://www.instagram.com/p/BUZOjWxFL9K/ viral video taken off the coast of Kimberley, Western Australia. Jeremy Tucker, owner of the Great Escape Charter Company, was fishing when he spotted the scary encounter between the two apex predators. Speaking to Storyful, Tucker said that tawny nurse sharks are usually bottom-feeders but like to hang around anchored vessels in tidal creeks. He noted that this particular crocodile seemed "unperturbed" by the sharks, both seemingly respecting each other's presence in the water. (Footage by @jtux/Storyful via Getty Images UGC)
