Turkey: Crash claims Czech striker Josef Sural
ANTALYA, TURKEY - APRIL 29: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Alanyaspor's cahirman Hasan Cavusoglu and players attend a ceremony for Czech striker Josef Sural who died in a minibus accident on April 29, 2019 in Alanya district of Antalya, Turkey. Josef Sural, 28, a Czech striker for Turkish football club Alanyaspor, died of wounds sustained in a road accident early Monday, the club announced on Twitter. The accident took place in the Mediterranean province of Antalya, when footballers on a minibus were returning from a Kayserispor away game. Sural died in hospital. His fellow passengers included footballers Steven Caulker, Djalma Campos, Wanderson Baiano, Papiss Demba Cisse, Welinton Souza, and Isaac Sackey. Other players injured by the accident were also taken to hospital. Turkey’s foreign minister has extended his condolences over the striker’s passing.
