Turkey's domestically-produced aircrafts perform at Teknofest Istanbul

ISTANBUL, TURKEY - SEPTEMBER 25: Turkey’s homegrown aircrafts including combat drones, helicopters, and training aircraft all took to the air for a dazzling coordinated performance at the top-notch technology event Teknofest in Istanbul on Saturday (Sept. 24). The T129 Tactical Reconnaissance and Attack Helicopter (ATAK) and the nation’s first homegrown multifunctional helicopter Gokbey were accompanied by the Akıncı and Bayraktar TB2 landmark unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the Hürküş training aircraft as they soared over the Atatürk Airport in Istanbul. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, along with First Lady Emine Erdogan and Turkey's Nobel laureate in chemistry Aziz Sancar watched the dazzling show. One of the biggest aviation events in the World, Teknofest at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, which began on Tuesday, will wrap up on Sunday. It is an annual exhibition on the commercialization of patents, inventions, and new products. The six-day event is hosting a range of activities, from air shows with warplanes, UAVs, and helicopters, to seminars, summits, competitions, and fairs. Last year, the event was organized virtually in the southeastern Gaziantep province due to coronavirus restrictions. Anadolu Agency has been the event's global communication partner since 2018.
