Tobacco mosaic virus structure being built - HD stock video
Animation showing the structure of a tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) as it is built up from its components. TMV has a helical single-stranded RNA genome (red), around which are 2130 coat proteins (blue). The coat protects the genome and forms a long rod-like structure. TMV infects plants, including tobacco, causing mottling of the leaves and stunted growth. It was the first virus to be identified, and the term "virus" was coined to describe it
