Climate Activists Spray Paint King Charles Portrait As Part Of Oil Exploit Protest In Edinburgh, Scotland
This footage was filmed and produced 26 July 2023.
Climate activists from the 'This is Rigged' organization vandalized a portrait of King Charles by Victoria Crowe inside the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland on the 26th of July.
They spray-painted the words 'the people are mightier than a lord' in protest against Scotland's fossil fuel industry. The activists demanded that the government deny new oil and gas licenses to large corporations and ensure a fair transition for oil workers.
The organization blames those in power for the current climate crises and aims to resist and push the government to support renewable energy
