The one-horned rhinoceros typical of Indonesia was chosen as the inspiration for the mascot for the U-20 World Cup which will take place next year. FIFA together with PSSI and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) have officially launched the mascot for the 2023 U-20 World Cup which will be held in Indonesia. The mascot is named Bacuya, which takes inspiration from the one-horned rhinoceros or better known as the Javan rhinoceros.
The video shows the launch of the Mascot for the FIFA U-20 International Football Match in Indonesia in 2023, which was attended by the Menpora, PSSI Chairman, and FIFA Tournament Director Jaime Yarza at the HI roundabout, Jakarta. The mascot is named 'BACUYA' with the tag line 'Bacuya rises with the new generation'
