Rugby Rice Paddy Art 2019 in Saitama
The world's largest rice paddy art with the design of the Japan national rugby team members is seen from the rooftop of Ancient Lotus Hall on October 10, 2019, Saitama, Japan. This year, to pay tribute to the Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan three players (Kazuki Himeno, Michael Leitch and Shiro Tanaka) were chosen to represent the Japanese national team on the rice paddy art in Gyoda City. Visitors from the observation deck at the Kodai Hasu Kaikan (Ancient Lotus Hall) can appreciate the colorful images created by planting varieties of rice plants on 27,195 square meters. The rice paddy art located in Gyoda City is listed in the Guinness World Records as the Largest Rice Field Mosaic in the World in 2015. Every year new creations are displayed from early August to the middle of October. (Footage by Rodrigo Marìn/NurPhoto via Getty Images)
