The successful artist shared her thoughts on her music style, the challenges she has faced in her career, and her views on the current music industry. "The only person I draw inspiration from is myself. Because if you don't believe in yourself, you can't achieve anything in this life." Said Equatorial Guinean-born Buika, a renowned figure in Spanish music and a Latin Grammy award winner. She mentioned that she visits Türkiye frequently and praised Turkish fans for their warm hospitality. Buika expressed her admiration for Turkish artist Sezen Aksu and said, "I really want to sing with Sezen Aksu. I love her voice. I've had this desire for years." Buika also indicated that due to high demand, an additional concert was added to her Istanbul leg of the Türkiye tour, and they plan to organize larger-scale concerts in Türkiye in the coming years. "In my early years, I performed jazz and blues in small clubs. Later, I turned to flamenco and Latin music. I love music in general. I appreciate all genres and artists because I am a musician. Every melody I hear inspires me to explore something new." Buika said. Born as María Concepción Balboa Buika in 1972 in the city of Palma, Spain, Buika started her music career by playing drums and bass guitar in local bands and later transitioned to vocals. She explained her shift from playing instruments to vocals by saying, "In Spain, no one wanted a female drummer, and I was tired of hearing 'no' all the time." With her unique voice, Buika quickly gained widespread acclaim and was compared to vocal artists such as Nina Simone, Chavela Vargas, Cesaria Evora, Billie Holiday, Edith Piaf, and Amy Winehouse. Nominated several times for Latin Grammy awards, Buika won the "Best Traditional Tropical Album" award at the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards.
