Slana River in Slovakia turns red due to abandoned mine drainage
KOSICE, SLOVAKIA - MAY 18: The Slana River in Slovakia has turned red due to an abandoned mine drainage in the town of Nizna Slnana in Kosice, on Wednesday, (May 18).
Anadolu Agency video shows that the river flowing in red color and other objects such as; stones, woods and some water creatures turned to red.
The river is getting more and more polluted each day due to abandoned Siderite mine shafts seeping into the main stream of the river since February.(Footage by Robert Nemeti/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
