First Nobel Prize ceremony held in Stockholm, Oslo after two years of pandemic break

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - DECEMBER 10: The Nobel Prize ceremony kicks off Saturday in the Swedish and Norwegian capitals after a two-year disruption due to the pandemic. The Nobel Prizes in physics, medicine, chemistry, and economics were awarded to their recipients in a ceremony in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The ceremony, held at the Stockholm Concert Hall (Konsert Huset), was attended by the Swedish royal family, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, ministers, the Turkish Ambassador to Stockholm Yönet Can Tezel, party representatives, foreign country representatives, and a large number of invitees, along with the prize winners. The winners of the physics prize were Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser, and Anton Zeilinger, the winners of the chemistry prize were Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal, and K. Barry Sharpless, the winner of the physiology/medicine prize was Svante Paabo, and the winners of the economics prize were Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond, and Philip H. Dybvig. The winners of the Nobel Prize were awarded a diploma, a Nobel medal, and approximately 900,000 euros. In addition, the winner of the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize was human rights defender Ales Bialiatski from Belarus and the human rights organizations Memorial and Center for Civil Liberties from Russia and Ukraine, who received their award at a ceremony in Oslo, the capital of Norway.
