GAZA, PALESTINE - MAY 31: The Israeli attack on the blockaded Gaza Strip destroyed the Palestinian Hadidi family's dream of living a happy life together in Turkey, killing five members of the family. Targeting a house in the Shati refugee camp on May 15, Israel killed the mother, Maha Abu Hatab, and four children of the family when she was visiting her brother’s house with his five children. The Israeli air strake killed 10 members of the same family. Speaking to Anadolu Agency, the father Mohammed al-Hadidi said his wife and four sons, Suheib, 14, Yahya, 11, Abdelrahman 8, and Wisam were killed people when the house in Shati refugee camp collapsed following an Israeli attack. He added that a woman and four children also killed in the Hatab family. Only Al Hadidi’s five-month-old son Omer and Hatab family’s four-year-old girl Maria, who wounded in the attack, could survive. Losing his wife and four children, Al-Hadidi is trying to stay strong for his 5-month-old son, Omar. Talking about his family’s dream of living in Turkey he said: "I visited Istanbul in 2013 with my sister. I fell in love with that country [Turkey]. I loved Turkey very much. After returning here, I told my family about the behavior of the Turkish people towards us. Many people gave me gifts just because I was Palestinian, even though I didn't know them. When I explained these situations, my children said, 'Let's go to Turkey and live there.' I said 'I hope so.' Saying his children also love Turkey, he added "We started to prepare the required documents to go to Turkey."
