Tips on how to avoid ‘maskne’:Choose a mask made from tightly woven, soft cotton fabric. Wash your mask after every use. In terms of skincare, use a cleanser on the face twice a day. One with a low concentration of Benzoyl peroxide, 5% or lower, has been recommended by dermatologists. Products containing the anti inflammatory ingredient salicylic acid have also been suggested, it can be found in body sprays and cleansing products. Don't increase the frequency of face washing, twice daily is enough. Moisturising after washing. Avoid wearing foundation or heavy make-up under the mask and contact your doctor if the condition does not clear.
