US: Chicago River Dyed Green To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day
The Chicago River was dyed by the Plumbers Local Union as an annual tradition to celebrate St. Patrick' Day on Saturday, March 12. According to the union, chemicals were used for several years to dye the river, now a vegetable-based powder is used.
