TIROL, AUSTRIA - RELEASED ON JULY 13: The beautiful Austrian province of Tirol attracts many visitors, locals and foreigners together, with stunning views of lakes and valleys and a spectacular Alpine landscape. Located between northern Italy and western Austria, Tirol is also bounded by Germany on the north. One of Tirol's biggest claims to fame are its 500 mountain peaks that rise more than 3,000 metres (9,800 feet) above sea level. These sky-scraping peaks and awe-inspring mountain ranges dominate the Alpine landscape of Tirol’s five main regions: Ausserfern, Oberland and Unterland, Innsbruck, and East Tirol. Around 10 percent of the whole province is inhabitable due to the mountainous terrain. Tirol has a population of over 700,000. More than a quarter of the provincial area is a nature reserve. The Wildbichl Wildlife Park near Kufstein in Tirol provides active recreation in a great setting. A range of animal species can be observed in their natural habitat on an area of about 80,000 square meters.
