Children's ballet Little Red Riding Hood meets Odesa audience
ODESA, UKRAINE - DECEMBER 5: The ballet 'Little Red Riding Hood' has come to the public in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, which was hit by Russian missile strikes many times.
The ballet was held at the Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
It is a children's ballet in two acts based on a fairy tale by Charles Perrault with music by Adolf Adan, Ludwig van Beethoven, Giuseppe Verdi, Charles Gounod, Paul Mauriat, Gioacchino Rossini, and Johann Strauss.
Svetlana Antipova Ballet School is the only school in Odesa licensed to perform at the Odessa Opera Theatre.
Due to the war, however, many children and young people are missing, and that is why two other dance schools from Odesa were invited to collaborate.
The theatre hall was full of enthusiastic audience.
The Ukrainian port city of Odesa is one of the most affected regions by Russian strikes.
Since the start of the war on Feb. 24, civilian casualties in Ukraine have reached 16,784, including 6,595 killed and 10,189 injured, according to the UN figures. (Footage by Gian Marco Benedetto/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
