Algerian national footballers welcomed by supporters after FIFA Arab Cup victory

ALGIERS, ALGERIA - DECEMBER 19: The Algeria national football team has been welcomed by thousands of its supporters in the capital Algiers after their victory in the FIFA Arab Cup held in Qatar. Supporters took to the streets and celebrated with firework as footballers greeted them from top of a bus. Algeria on Saturday beat Tunisia 2-0. The final of the Arab Cup started with attacking intentions from both sides. Tunisia were focusing on direct attempts and shooting from afar, while Algeria were depending more on penetration from the sides and crosses. However, both the teams failed to score in both halves. Algeria’s first goal was scored by Amir Sayoud in the ninth minute of extra-time. Yacine Brahimi sealed his country’s victory with the second goal that came in the last minute of the extra-time. The previous nine editions of Arab Cup have been won by five teams. Iraq have won four, Saudi Arabia two, while Algeria, Egypt and Morocco have clinched one title each.
