Celebrities attend 'Monster' and 'Le Retour' premiere at Cannes Film Festival

CANNES, FRANCE - MAY 17: Stars of the film Monster and Le Retour attended the world premiere gala at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, May 17. The 76th Cannes Film Festival is kicking off on Tuesday with 21 films vying for the Palme d'Or, including Turkish award-winning director Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s latest drama, About Dry Grasses (Kuru Otlar Ustune). The festival which will run until May 27, is opening the night with Louis-XV-period drama Jeanne du Barry, starring Hollywood actor Johnny Depp, and directed by French actress and filmmaker Maiwenn. Swedish director Ruben Ostlund is serving as the president of this year's nine-member jury, which also features names including Moroccan director Maryam Touzani, French actor Denis Menochet, British-Zambian screenwriter and director Rungano Nyoni, American actress and director Brie Larson, American actor Paul Dano, Afghan author Atiq Rahimi, Argentinian director and screenwriter Damian Szifron` and French director Julia Ducournau.
