Rugby Legend Saves Beached Dolphin Near Cape Town

Springbok Rugby World Cup champion Percy Montgomery saved a dolphin calf stranded on a beach near Cape Town after several attempts on Saturday, August 17, according to an eye witness. Footage filmed and posted to Facebook by Doris van Niekerk shows Montgomery picking up the beached dolphin and returning it to the water in two separate attempts. The dolphin is seen successfully swimming away on the third attempt.
