Spandau Ballet press conference; Band take questions from journalists SOT - (Hadley) Time is a great healer. Told Shane Ritchie that we'd get back for our 30th anniversary. Met up in the pub and talked things over. - (Gary Kemp) These guys are my family and I missed them for 20 years. They're the only ones who understand what. - (Martin Kemp) We're like any family, we argue but we got back together in the end - (Hadley) Songs are still played on the radio and as years go by you realise how powerful the songs are. London cabbies are always asking whe the band will get back together. Had a rehearsal and it sounded fantastic. Happy to be together again. - (Norman) Back in the 1980s we were really good buddies and we were like that in the rehearsal room like the last 20 years had never happened. - (Keeble) First song we played was I'll Fly For You. - (Martin Kemp) Bit of a test for me as that was a hard one. - (Gary Kemp) Then we did the original garage version of To Cut a Long Story Short. - (Norman) Very exciting for us to play again - (Martin Kemp) Some ofthe songs we didn't think would work from the early days sounded fantastic. - (Hadley) Some of the somgs we played down the other end of here in fact. Always remember knocking my head - very low ceilings on boats. It's a greatest hits tour that we should have done years ago. Will give the fans what they want.
