South Carolina Senator Tim Scott asks US trade representative nominee Katherine Tai at Senate Finance Committee nomination hearing how worker centric trade policy agenda would encompass to assure him that roughly 90 percent of American workers who were not union members would still stand to benefit, Tai assuring him that a worker centered trade policy was expansive, covering workers in different segments of economy and industries, unionized workers and not because if one worked they were an American worker, the policy sending a signal that patterns in earlier trade policies to regular Americans and workers who may have felt that their livelihoods were being traded away for other interests in our trade policies.
