AT&T Untold Stories award goes to Smoking Tigers at Tribeca Film Festival
NEW YORK, US - JUNE 10: Smoking Tiger wins the AT&T Untold Stories award at the 21st annual Tribeca Film Festival on Friday (June 10).
“It means world to me. This is a story for my family for people who felt like an outsider. So, this awarded everything. I never thought I would have a chance to make my true movie. This is our chance and I am so excited to start on this journey,” said the director of the movie So Young Shelly Yo.
The Tribeca Film Festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2001 to spur economic and cultural revitalization in New York's lower Manhattan district following the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks on the World Trade Center.
