Um, following recent recordings revealing post office executives were told that sub postmaster convictions may be unsafe back in 2013, but apparently failed to act. Do you think that that just demonstrates evidence of a cover-up? A: I think post office executives have been found lying time and time again. They lied to the victims. The Sub-postmaster had such an appalling time. They lied to the courts and judges, they lied to ministers of all political parties, and they really need to be held to account. The evidence is now overwhelming, whether it's the public inquiry or whether it's the police investigation, they need to face justice. Q: And should there be a criminal investigation into these recordings? A: Well, there is a criminal investigation by the Metropolitan Police at the moment, uh, and I hope and expect these recordings to be handed over.
