Several Injured as Firework Lands in Crowd at Michigan Show

According to the City of Allegan, a firework cake that was launched from a pontoon boat in the Kalamazoo River, approximately 90 feet from the pedestrian boardwalk, unintentionally landed in the crowd. Video by Skyler Veldhuis captures a child screaming "help" as the firework explodes. "My son is autistic and is now terrified of any type of fire, fireworks anything," Veldhuis told Storyful. "I donÕt personally know anyone that got hurt severely, but I do know my best friend's son got a small burn on his thumb," she said. The city said the incident resulted in a handful of minor injuries, all but one of which was treated at the site. One individual was transported to childrenÕs hospital for further evaluation.
