Senator McConnell forecasts Chief Justice Roberts passive role in impeachment trial after jump ball to start
Senator McConnell tells reporters at a weekly press conference it was impossible to answer a question about motions possibly made in a Senate impeachment trial and basically three ways to proceed including a jump ball, he refreshed his memory by reading a little book called impeachment with just four chapters including the constitutional convention, Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and then a suggestion of what might happen which could be determined by 51 senators agreeing to move forward, anticipating Chief Justice John Roberts would play passive role as William Rehnquist added in submitting suggestions to the body to vote on.
