Senator Barrasso calls out Schumer for inaction on appropriations as Majority Leader
Senate Republican Whip John Barrasso says in daily floor remarks that when Senator Chuck Schumer was the majority leader of the United States Senate a year ago, the Senate Appropriations Committee passed 11 of 12 Appropriations bills by the summer of 2024 with many receiving unanimous support from Republicans and Democrats on the committee, but Senator Schumer sat on them for 200 and 225 days and refused to bring a single bill to the floor of the United States Senate for a single vote, not because he could not but because he refused to, and the American voters revolted, changed parties, the president, the Senate and the House, and then Schumer would blame Republicans for gridlock.
