Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell takes questions from reporters, answering that one thing that could be said about 2017 is it was pretty partisan and not much can be accomplished on a partisan basis with a 52-48 margin or 51-49 is will occur in 2018, adding he sees areas for bipartisan agreement such as on reforming the Dodd Frank Consumer Protection and Wall Street Financial Reform Act to minimize collateral damage of the financial crisis and the law, a bipartisan working group on assembling an agreement to address the deferred action for childhood arrivals program that President Donald Trump could agree to, he would devote floor time to that in January.
