View Of The Palais Ideal Monument In France
HAUTERIVES, FRANCE - JUNE 8: Sculptures named The Three Giants (Caesar, Vercingetorix and Archimedes) decorate the facade of the Palais Idéal (Ideal Palace) built by Joseph Ferdinand Cheval on June 8, 2023 in Hauterives, France. Ferdinand Cheval, a letter carrier, built a palace for 33 years between 1879 and 1912, collecting stones every day on his rounds. The monument was listed by the French Minister of Culture in 1969 as the only example of naive architecture. (Footage by Vincent Isore/IP3/Getty Images)
