L.A.’s ‘Reservor Dogs’/‘The Big Lebowski’ coffee shop on Fairfax Avenue has changed from Johnie’s Coffee Shop to Bernie’s Coffee Shop. With the candidate criss-crossing California this week, including a stop yesterday in Hollywood to appear on Jimmy Kimmel, the famed landmark coffee shop on Wilshire has just become a major campaign landmark. The closed coffee shop, used in a wide variety of famous Hollywood films, is on Wilshire Boulevard’s Miracle Mile, across the street from LACMA and the Petersen Auto Museum (where rapper Biggie Smalls was murdered 18 years ago). Today, it has re-opened and you can enter to buy t-shirts and other campaign memorabilia. No word yet on when Bernie will drop in.
